EDITORIAL.PHOTOS...

My first real taste of professional photography was photojournalism. LIFE Magazine's "Dean of LIFE Photographers", Alfred Eisenstadt, was my earliest conscious inspiration in that field.

In this section I've included several instances of my good fortune of being at the right place, at the right time.

This is one of my favorite--and most widely-circulated photos. It was the by-product of a routine high school soccer match assignment and I sent a copy to UPI (United Press International) who opted to give it "full network" distribution. As a result, it was featured in at least three European newspapers, The Sacramento [CA] Bee and the Washington Post; the Philadelphia Daily News gave it a top-to-bottom front page on October 4, 1975.
